Community

The Cape Hatteras Anglers Club has been a Hatteras Island institution since it was founded in 1957, and we take great pride in being a constant force in an otherwise dynamic barrier island ecosystem.

Through the years, we have become an integral part of the community, and we try to give back as much as we can to our friends, families, local businesses, and supporters who work so hard to keep the island alive and well through thick and thin!

To that end, the Club supports many organizations that serve the needs of the people of Hatteras Island including the following, to name a few:

United Methodist Men
Lions Club Fishing Tournament for the Visually Impaired
H.I.M. - Hatteras Island Meals/Food Pantry
Hatteras Island Cancer Foundation
Hatteras Island Rescue & Fire Departments
CHSS Booster Club
OBPA - Outer Banks Preservation Association
CHAPA - Cape Hatteras Access Preservation Alliance
CERT - Community Emergency Response Teams

We could not do this without the amazing support we get from our membership, dedicated sponsors, and the many supporters and volunteers who work so tirelessly behind the scenes to keep the lights on and the club's engine running.

To all of you, we say: "Thank you for everything you do for the CHAC and this amazing island community!"
